Benjamin Kuula (BJ)
CEO/CIO/Partner
Benjamin Kuula serves as the CEO of American Capital Group (ACG), a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm, focused on multifamily housing, with over $2 billion in assets under management. Boasting more than two decades of experience in the real estate sector, Mr. Kuula's expertise spans various domains including design, development, construction, acquisition, property management, asset management, and finance. His notable career achievements encompass $2 Billion in real estate development, $1.5 Billion value add acquisitions, and nearly $4 Billion in real estate finance.
Mr. Kuula's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego, followed by a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington's Foster School of Business.
Apart from his business endeavors, Mr. Kuula is deeply committed to community service. He is an active board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue, where he leads the Revenue Development Committee and serves on the Executive Committee. His significant contributions to the real estate industry have earned him a membership in the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and in 2021, he was nominated for Globe St.’s Top 50 under 40 in Commercial Real Estate, a testament to his professional excellence and impact.


Levi Singleton
COO/Partner
Levi is the Chief Operating Officer at American Capital Group, bringing over 20 years of experience across various facets of the organization. Starting in 2004, he spent 12 years managing land acquisitions, feasibility analysis, and project entitlements across Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona. In 2016, Levi transitioned to the construction division, overseeing all phases of the construction process from estimating to project close-out. As COO, he now oversees company operations. Altogether, Levi has played an integral role in constructing 8,500 housing units with an aggregate value in excess of $1.5 billion. Levi holds a B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Washington. In his free time, Levi enjoys staying active and spending quality time with his wife and children.
Benj Hansen
CFO
Benj Hansen joined American Capital Group (ACG) as Chief Financial Officer in 2025, bringing over 15 years of strategic financial leadership experience. His expertise spans portfolio management, fund accounting, and operational excellence. Before joining ACG, Benj served as Controller at Taiyo Pacific Partners, where he led comprehensive finance operations. During his tenure, he transformed the finance department through strategic automation and process improvements, significantly enhancing reporting accuracy, timeliness, and operational efficiency. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Benj holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Beyond his professional achievements, Benj is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, skiing, and sailing adventures with his family. He brings this same passion for exploration and calculated risk-taking to his approach in financial leadership.


Roger Kuula
Chairman/Partner/Founder
Roger W. Kuula brings over 40 years of experience in real estate design, development, construction, and property management. Since 1979, he has played a pivotal role in the design, development, construction, and management of over 16,000 apartment units, with a combined development value of approximately $2.5 billion. Additionally, Mr. Kuula has successfully acquired more than 4,000 operating units. He is a co-founder of American Capital Group and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Kuula also established American Property Management (APM) and serves as its President, overseeing the management of more than 5,500 apartment units. His academic journey began with a football scholarship at Oregon State University, culminating in a Business Administration degree from Eastern Washington University.
Jon Wood
Partner/Board Member/Co-Founder
Jon A. Wood has been involved in commercial real estate development, construction and finance since 1978, giving him over 40 years of industry experience. He was a co-founder of American Capital Group in 1986. Mr. Wood was responsible for finance and sales within ACG before retiring in 2023. During his tenure, under his joint leadership, ACG successfully developed and built over 80 properties, comprising approximately 16,000 units with an estimated value of $2.5B. Mr. Wood continues to contribute to the company as a member of the Board of Directors.


Dave Sinnett
Executive VP of Development/Partner
Dave Sinnett joined American Capital Group 20 years ago as a Development Manager, was promoted to Director of Development before becoming the Vice President of Development. Throughout his career, Dave has spearheaded the development and successful delivery of over 5,000 apartment units, showcasing his expertise in the real estate industry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from the University of Washington and has since become an active part of the community. He currently serves on the Clyde Hill Civil Commission. Dave loves coaching his three children in soccer, basketball, and baseball, in addition to his favorite activity of snow skiing.

Anna Lancaster
Director of Architecture
Anna Galloway graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture and minors in Anthropology and Historic Preservation. She began her career designing multi-family housing in the Seattle area before moving to Portland. She has been focused on designing affordable housing throughout the Pacific Northwest for a majority of the 10 years of her career working her way from Architectural Staff to Associate. She moved back to Seattle in 2020 and joined American Capital Group as Architect Project Manager in November of 2023. Anna enjoys spending time with her dogs, reading, running, and drawing. She has been volunteering with Rotary Youth Exchange for 20 years and recently joined the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club.


Dylan Draves
Design Director
Dylan, originally from San Antonio, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in interior design and worked for several years as an interior designer in Houston on corporate interiors. He left Texas to pursue his Master of Architecture first in Los Angeles and later in St. Louis and graduated from Washington University in St. Louis. Dylan has been in the Seattle area since 2020 primarily focused on designing multifamily and mixed-use projects. Dylan joined American Capital Group in July 2023 as Design Director. He also teaches interior design at Seattle Pacific University. He enjoys traveling, baking, watching basketball, playing board games, and trying new restaurants.
Rasha Younan
Senior Architect
Rasha Younan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Mansoura University in Egypt, then she moved to the pacific Northwest after graduation. With more than 15 years of experience in a variety of project types and 8 years of experience focusing on Multi-family and Mix use projects and applying sustainability measures. Rasha recently joined ACG Design as a Senior Project Architect, she brings a wealth of experience in creating innovative, functional, and sustainable spaces. Rasha enjoys Hiking, Kayaking, reading, listening to podcasts, spending quality time with her family, and making Chocolate confections with passion for all things chocolate.


Reed Kelly
Project Architect III
Reed is an architect who is passionate about housing and providing people with high quality places to live. Reed has worked on housing of all scales, from backyard DADUs, to a private island, to urban high rises. Since joining ACG in 2021, Reed has worked on multiple mid-rise multifamily projects across the Puget Sound region. Reed has a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Washington. Outside of work, Reed enjoys being in the mountains and volunteering with outdoors-focused organizations. Reed enjoys long walks on the beach and exploring the intricacies of the International Building Code.
Arnold Toriumi
Project Architect III
Arnold Toriumi graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree with a minor in Business Administration from University of Oregon. He started his career in Hawaii working on commercial, high-rise, State and Federal government buildings. He moved to Washington in 2018 and has worked as a project architect on numerous multifamily projects prior to joining ACG in 2021. He currently has active architectural licenses in both Hawaii and Washington. Arnold enjoys spending time near water, camping, paddleboarding, and judo. He actively volunteers as a coach at a local Seattle judo club.

Sean Thorson
Director of Land Acquisitions
Sean Thorson is the Director of Land Acquisitions at ACG, responsible for land acquisitions for our new developments across all markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Washington, and multiple certifications. Starting as an Acquisitions Manager in 2019, Sean's expertise and dedication quickly earned him his current leadership role. Sean is actively involved in the community as a member of the Bellevue Rotary Club and volunteers with numerous charitable organizations throughout the Puget Sound Region. In his personal time, he enjoys boating, fishing, golfing, photography, and spending quality time with his family.


Adam Behrman
Development Director
As Development Director for American Capital Group, Adam is responsible for leading multifamily projects through the entire development lifecycle. Before joining ACG, Adam was a Senior Development Manager at Greystar where he oversaw all phases of the development process for multifamily and student housing across the Pacific Northwest. Adam began his career in the oil and gas sector, working as a Completion Engineer for ExxonMobil then Shell before transitioning into real estate development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, cycling, and skiing.
Tom Goett
Development Director
Tom Goett started his career in the field as a Laborer and worked his way to Assistant Superintendent before transitioning into the office. Tom worked for a general contractor in construction as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager before making the change to development. Tom started with ACG in 2020 as an Owner’s Representative and is now Development Director. Tom enjoys spending time with his children, reading, upland bird hunting, hiking, riding motorcycles, and supporting Manchester United. Tom has been active in youth soccer as a volunteer coach and videographer.


Sara Dashti
Procurement and ID Manager
Sara Dashti graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Structural Design from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. She began her career at ACG Design as a Project Designer and progressed through her current role as ACG Interior Design and Procurement Manager. Sara enjoys basketball, DIY projects, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is passionate about kids and has volunteered at different kid’s clubs. Sara has also been part of ASCE , Milwaukee Chapter, as their Student Liaison since 2015 volunteering for “Future City Design” competitions. Since joining American Capital Group in 2021, Sara has been a key member of the team curating different interior experiences for our residents.

Ty Lambert
Director of Multifamily Investments
Tyler Lambert is a Director of Multifamily Investments at American Capital Group. Since beginning his career as an Investment Analyst at ACG in 2015, Tyler has contributed to over $2 billion in real estate transactions, including the capitalization of 3,000+ units of development and 5,000+ units of acquisitions. Tyler graduated from San Diego State University where he majored in finance with a concentration in real estate and minored in political science. Tyler enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing, and spending time with family in his free time.


Kevin Lim
Director of Multifamily Investments
Kevin Lim has earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Western Washington University, a master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University, and a CFA charter. With a professional history in fixed income, he held positions as an Analyst at Ellis Lake Capital and as the Lead for the debt origination team at Success Academy Charter Schools in NYC. In 2022, he joined American Capital Group as an Investment Analyst and has since become the Director of Multifamily Investments. In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing golf, traveling, and volunteering with his son's sports teams.

Nick Fuhrman
Vice President of Operations
Nick Fuhrman graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Washington State University. He began his career at AHB as a Project Engineer, progressing through roles such as Assistant Construction Manager, Construction Manager, and ultimately Business Operations Manager. Nick enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family. He actively volunteers at his daughter's school and has also contributed his time to Habitat For Humanity. Since joining American Capital Group in 2014, Nick has been a key member of the team for over a decade.


DJ Horner
Executive Construction Manager
DJ Horner obtained a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Seattle Pacific University. He got his start in the construction industry with his father and grandfather in single-family construction. His first position after college was an Assistant Project Manager, where he helped build wood-framed multifamily. His experience grew into high and mid-rise projects. Mr. Horner then started his own construction company where he built single-family homes. He joined ACG in 2018, and plans to retire here. Outside of work, Mr. Horner enjoys saltwater fishing, exploring new golf courses, and cherishing quality time with family and friends.
Pat Malarkey
Construction Takeoff & Planning Analyst
Pat Malarkey holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Cal Poly Humboldt. His career journey includes roles as an Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and VP of Construction. Currently, he serves as a Construction Takeoff & Planning Analyst at American Home Builders (AHB). Outside of work, Pat enjoys woodworking, backpacking, and fishing. With over four decades of experience, Pat is a valued member of the AHB team.


Jae Oh
Lead Estimator
Jae’s construction career started as an in-house architectural designer for a design-build construction company. From there, he has transitioned to construction project management and to Estimating. As a construction estimator, Jae ensures his estimates are accurate and complete on time, while aligning with owner’s vision for the project. He maintains a strong relationship with local subcontractors and understands the local market. Joining ACG in 2024, Jae prepares and leads estimates, while reviewing all final estimates for accuracy and completeness. Jae has earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Georgia Institute of Technology. During his spare time, Jae enjoys exploring the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
Pete Kirk
General Superintendent
Pete attended CWU. After attending CWU, Pete worked for the carpenter’s union for 8 years as a carpenter before being offered his first Construction Management job. He has really enjoyed being a Superintendent for the past 28 years. Pete has been with ACG since 2021 and is currently ACG’s General Superintendent, overseeing all construction projects. When he is not working, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.

Jessica Alonzo
VP of Property Management
Jessica Alonzo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Housing Studies from Oregon State University and holds an AA in Graphic Design from Linn-Benton Community College With over 25 years of experience in property management, Jessica has developed a passion for providing exceptional service to owners, partners and residents. Jessica joined American Capital Group in 2002 and held a variety of roles within APM before becoming the Vice President in 2017. Prior to working for APM, Jessica worked for Walt Disney World in the Guest Relations Department. Jessica enjoys camping, paddleboarding and mountain biking with her three kids.


Gloria Kim
Asset Manager
Gloria Kim has been in property management since 2000, working in multifamily and commercial real estate. She began her career in multifamily property management as a Leasing Agent during a lease-up and in 2004, she joined American Property Management, Inc. as a Leasing Agent. She quickly moved up to a Property Manager and progressed to a Jr. Regional Manager, Regional Manager, and is now APM’s Asset Manager. Gloria enjoys gardening, hiking, dancing, working out, traveling, and quality time with her husband and dogs. Since joining American Property Management Inc. in 2004, Gloria has been a key member of the APM team for over 20 years.

Madison Evans
Director of HR
Madison graduated from the University of Washington where she majored in Psychology and minored in Business. She has since obtained her SHRM certification and continues her HR education via seminars, conferences, and research. Joining ACG in 2017, Madison progressed from HR Assistant to her current role of Director of Human Resources, in which she manages our day-to-day HR operations for ACG and APM. Madison has volunteered at middle schools as a tutor for at-risk youth and coached youth sports. She is also passionate about animals – she and her family have two rescue Dobermans. In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with family, doing home improvement projects, shopping, fitness, traveling, and cooking.
